The update we’ve been talking about for months is finally here! Below is a compiled list of every single change that has been implemented into the game since April. If you want to see more information about any of these, you can read some of the previous Devlogs, talk with us on Discord or simply give them a go yourself!
Talent tree system
- Lighting from core game added to the talent tree screen
- Talent trees are now generated from a system of tiles
- Pipe style connectors
- Fog of war added to the talent screen
- Next night button has been re-designed and moved to the bottom of the talent tree screen
- Abilities are now green
- New shapes for rare and legendary talents
- Hover states on purchased talents have been changed
- Talent points button has been re-designed and moved to the top of the talent tree screen
- You can now press space to return to your last purchased talent
Stats panel
- Stats panel design has been completely changed
- You can now collapse the stats panel
- The location of the stats panel has been changed
- Hovering over stats will show their description both in the talent screen and in game
Packages
Wizard: Deep learning
- [Untamed Knowledge] (Epic) - On Level Up the Wizard will fire a random ability with no magic point (MP) cost. Directional Abilities will use a random direction during this time. Abilities will cost 5 more MP to cast.
- [Bracing Knowledge] (Rare) - On Level Up the Wizard will receive 5 Mana Points
- [Dazzling Knowledge] (Rare) - On Level Up the Wizard’s next three attacks will deal 10 more damage
- [Knowledge is Power] (Ability) - Duplicate all experience gems on the floor and instantly pull them to the Wizard, each gem will deal 1 damage to all enemies they pass through
Archer Package - Who's Counting?
- [Brutal Bounty] (Rare) - Killing 10 enemies grants increased Attack Damage for a duration.
- [Sanguine Bounty] (Rare) - Killing 10 enemies restores 5 HP.
- [Bountiful Bounty] (Epic) - Killing 10 enemies grants a huge sack of experience gems. Ability cooldowns are increased by X%.
- [Faulty Shrink-Ray] (Ability) - A directional ability that duplicates and shrinks all enemies in a lane setting their HP to 1.
Warrior Package - Triple S
- [Savage Combo] (Rare) - Once Per Night: Reaching a combo of 10 permanently increases your Attack Speed by X%
- [Sweet Combo] (Rare) - Once Per Night: Reaching a combo of 10 permanently increases your Magic Points by 5
- [Smokin' Combo] (Epic) - As your combo level increases your ability cooldowns are reduced. (Skilled 10%, Gifted 25%, Acomplished 50%, Talented 100%). Your parry rating is set to 0%.
- [Frenzy] (Ability) - Your attack speed is increased by X% and your parry chance is increased to 100% for X seconds.
Summoner Package - Delightfully Devilish
- [Grim Sacrifice] (Rare) - When a summon dies in combat it has an X% chance to summon a Mini Bone Pile. (Bone Piles turn into Skelebobs when protected enough)
- [Worthy Sacrifice] (Rare) - When a summon dies in combat it has an X% chance to drop experience gems.
- [Ghastly Sacrifice] (Epic) - When a summon dies in combat it becomes a ghost that passes through enemies, knowing them back but dealing no damage. Your Attack Speed and Cooldown Reduction is reduced by X%.
- [Grave Contract] (Ability) - Instantly kill all active summoned units and gain X% Attack Speed and Cooldown Reduction for each until the end of the night. Deaths count as Combat Deaths.
Combo Meter
- A combo is begun when 10 kills are made in succession without taking damage. The combo meter will track your current combo, showing your kill count and your combo level.
- The Combo Meter has 4 Combo Levels: Skilled - 10+ Kills, Gifted - 25+ Kills, Accomplished - 50+ Kills, Talented - 100+ Kills.
- Each Combo Level will grant an Experience Bonus (10%, 25%, 50%, 100%)
Balance changes
Archer:
- Shadow Strike: Will now only fire on every other attack.
- Critical Timing: Now reduces the cooldown of a random ability by 1 second (Instead of 0.5 seconds for all abilities).
- Base Knockback Power increased to 0.3 (up from 0.25)
- Base Crit Chance increased to 4% (up from 2%)
Wizard:
- Insight: Reduced experience for ability kills to 10% (down from 15%)
- Hemomancy: Reduces your maximum MP by 50% (reworked from a flat 10)
- Base lifesteal increased to 4% (up from 2%)
- Knockback Power increased to 0.25 (up from 0.2)
Warrior:
- Cooldown Reduction Talents are less likely to appear on the tree.
- Base Knockback Power increased to 0.35 (up from 0.25)
- Parry Chance increased to 4% (up from 2%)
Summoner:
- Helper Size Up HP increase down to 5 (from 10)
- Helper Size Up Speed Decrease down to 20% (from 25%)
- Base Lifesteal Chance down to 0% (from 2%)
- Base Max MP down to 25 (from 40)
- Base Time Between MP Regeneration down to 6.5 seconds (from 8 seconds)
Bonus Nerf:
- Abilities can no longer lifesteal.
Bug fixes
- Warrior now works
- Dragging abilities into different slots no longer causes them to become dark and difficult to see
