Devlog #36 - Life and Death

Hello Talented Gamers!

This past fortnight we've been working hard on even more Talent Packages and a brand new run end screen that includes some useful statistics on how your run went! Let's get to it...

Open Fort Part 2

Last week we revealed two new Talents from the For Science! Wizard package that gave benefits for learning Rare Talents. But how do you get access to those Rares? Well...

Create Rare Talents out of thin air!

And pick them up with no cost at all.

Instant Replay

We've upgraded the run end screen. Now you can take your rightful place on the winners podium when you successfully complete a run, or see which enemy managed to take you out if you're defeated.

We've also expanded the statistics! You're now able to get a breakdown of how many times each Talent Procced and how much damage you dealt and took from enemies.

Finally, at long last, you're able to see the Talent Tree from the end screen - you can see what was strong about your build and what you could have done better!

Decay is the Way

Summoner is getting a brand new Status Effect exclusive to them this update called Decay

We've received a ton of positive feedback on Gravestones, but we think they could do with a boost so we've linked them to this new status effect to make them even more powerful.

Of course with most new mechanics it'll also be getting its own Package to push its power level even higher in certain runs. I'll keep those as secrets for our dedicated players to discover though!

Instead I'll give a sneak peak of the second Summoner Package "Appropriation". (Currently using a placeholder icon)

That just about does it for this week! We're moving ever closer to the 0.9 update, which comes with a huge surprise we haven't revealed yet. Looking forward to leaking more secrets next time.

Stay Talented
