What’s that coming over the hill, is it an update?
Well, nearly.
It’s been a few weeks since our last Devlog, Talenters, but we’ve been working super hard on the final stretch of bug fixes and changes before we release the next update.
I’ll begin with a heavily requested fix: The Warrior.
Warrior:
We’ve killed the immortality meta. The warrior should be a playable character again. They will now experience mortality and be vulnerable to attacks.
With the warrior back, and their new package, we hope they will provide a very different play style to the other characters. It should also be slightly more skilled than standing and infinitely tanking enemy hits after attacking in all four directions.
UI Changes:
The ‘next night’ button and the talent points bar have been moved on the talent screen to make them easier to see and more intuitive. We found that having the next night in the top right wasn’t very obvious, so have moved it to the bottom right. Ryue has also redesigned both of these elements for us (seen below) and we think they look great!
The tool tips will now also appear when you hover over talents rather than at the bottom of the screen.
Talent Navigation:
Exploring the infinite talent tree can be useful to plan out where you want to go next, but getting lost in the void can be a pain. You can now press the space bar to return your camera to the most recently purchased talent.
We have also fixed a talent slot issue. When dragging abilities into different slots in the talent screen, it will no longer cause them to become dark and hard to see
