Devlog #18 - A Whole New World


Hello Talented Gamers!

Some big changes to Talented are coming up in the near future, and we have been working hard over the past two weeks to bring them to you.  Today we will focus on some really nice improvements that Ryue has been making to artwork and the environment.  We will also focus on some gameplay enhancements that Vorstave has been making.  

So, here goes. 

Artwork and the Environment

We really love the art style that Ryue has brought to Talented, and this week’s improvements take it to another level.  Ryue has been working on brand new art assets which just pop out of the screen in 3D.

Cracked paving stones and walls really add to the ambience, and the iron gates will keep the enemies at bay (briefly!) until the onslaught begins every night.  We really love the subtle pillars supporting the bridge, and the misty depths beneath.  Who knows what may come from below in the future?

Lighting effects are also adding to the ambience.

Talent Proc System

Vorstave has been hard at work polishing our core gameplay and has added a really nice feature to show the effects of all those hard-earned talent points.  Our new talent proc system pops whenever a talent is used in battle.  Very useful for tracking builds and planning future talent point spends.
