Devlog #14 - Summoner Finishing Touches

Hello Damage Up Talents!

Just a small update this week as I've mostly been bug fixing, polishing and balancing ready for the 0.5.X release.

Here's some highlights:

Cannot Purchase Talent Bug

I think I finally got to the bottom of this long standing bug yesterday! I won't go into too much technical detail, but it turned out when talents were rerolled into something new (like from the D6) their old versions weren't fully removed.

This meant if a second reroll happened (for example the one that occurs to Ability Talents when you already have their Ability) you had two Talents in the same slot causing all kinds of issues!

Here's to hoping this one never ruins another run.

Mana Regeneration

I've added mana regeneration rate to the combat stats pool for the Wizard and the new Summoner Class. This means you can easily see how often your mana regeneration will tick.

Note: Knowledgeable players will know this means there's now a chance for The One Ring Talent to give you mana regen too!

I've also decided to tweak mana regeneration across the board. It was easy to become 'Mana Locked' with 2 abilities to where you needed mana regen Talents to have any chance to use them effectively - additionally the mana regen talent increased the rate of regeneration by 25% which is very high for a single Talent point.

I've brought the base regen rate down to once every 10 seconds for all classes apart from the Summoner (who regenerates every 8 seconds as a class benefit).

Other Stuff

And here's a list of a few other bug fixes/improvements I've made!

- HP and MP bars now regenerate when entering the Talent Screen (instead of staying half empty from the previous day)
- Day progress bar now starts full while the countdown plays
- Shielded elite enemies still get knocked back when their shields are knocked off
- Improved accuracy of enemy colliders (looking at you mega blob!)

I expect to be releasing 0.5.X very soon! So keep your eyes peeled...
