Talented 0.4.11 - Elite Strength
Hello Talented People!
I'm proud to announce that update 0.4.11 is now live! While it's arriving a little later than I expected, I'm still extremely proud of what Ryue and myself have accomplished in the last month and a half. Here's what you can expect on your next Talented run:
New Warrior Class
Our third class, the Warrior, is a high risk melee character. Combine his piercing sword with his powerful defensive capabilities to devastate huge numbers of enemies. Beware though, his short range make him susceptible to being overwhelmed.
Elite Enemies
Enemies can now be elite! Gigantic, Speedy, Infested and Blessed enemies can now be found inside the dungeon.
They can appear as enemy bonusses (the upgrades enemies gain at the end of each day) or from the start of the run on higher mastery levels.
More Mastery Levels
The mastery cap has been increased to Level 15. You can expect more elites, longer days and 'Blank Talents' to appear on the talent tree at these extra challenging Levels
Class Trait Rework
An extremely common piece of feedback in 0.3 was class traits not feeling as good as they should. You'd often have to sacrifice one bit of class identity for another and the choices felt very all or nothing.
Now, class trait pairs are more similar. You will be making slight tweaks that fit your playstyle rather than making tough choices about how the game will pan out.
In addition, the first trait you pick for each class will be a starting ability. That's right! All classes now begin with a starting ability!
New Enemy
The 'Crawley' joins the enemy arsenal. With a unique style of movement, be careful he doesn't sneak up on you and catch you off guard.
Bug Fixes, Balance and UI Improvements
This build also includes various bug fixes and UI improvements that were requested in 0.3. Here are a few highlights:
- Abilities can now be activated with JKL;
- Added tooltips for the player combat stats (e.g. Attack Speed, Critical Strike Chance)
- Damage Up is now a rare talent and only appears for Archer and Warrior classes
- Mega Blobs are now easier to pop!
- Skelebob Bone Piles are now easier to scatter!
- Increased the scale of the Enemy Info Screen
Any many more things on top! I hope you enjoy this update, looking forward to talking about the next one soon!
