Devlog #9 - EVILLL

Mwahahaha, I've spent most of this week adding delightfully EVIL new features to Talented that will DESTROY even the most experienced gamers!

Blank Talents

As the Mastery Level cap climbs higher and higher, even greater challenges await those who dare to take them on. Mastery Levels 8 and 13 now introduce a chance for Basic Talents to become Blank Talent which are nothing but an empty space in the tree. You can try to avoid them... But for how long!? Mwahahaha

New EVIL Enemy

As if the days of Talented weren't filled with enough DIABOLICAL enemies, We've added another one! Meet the Crawley, design by my partner in crime Ryue.

 

Mwhaha! Doesn't he just strike fear into your heart!? 

Unlike other Talented enemies, Crawleys only move when they feel like it. You'd best be alert and ready to defend yourself before they sneak their damage in.

To make matters worse (for you!), Mastery Level 15 will see Crawleys spawn from Day 1. Just try and survive that!

UI Improvements

Okay, okay, it's not all bad news. To make this ONSLAUGHT of difficulty more bearable, I've also been adding a handful of UI changes that respond to some of the feedback 0.3.X received.


The new enemy info screen makes it much easier to see how many hit points and how fast each enemy is.


Combat stats have been simplified, so only the stats your class actually uses are shown, and a stat can be hovered over for more information.

Well, that's about it for this week. Just a handful more bug fixes, minor features, the final balance pass and this update will be ready to go! So you can expect it fairly soon (if my EVILLLL persona didn't frighten you away).
